How it works

From your first application to your certificate, here is what happens at every step.

Step by step

Know what's next. Always.

Step 1

Create your account

Register with your details. It's free and takes a couple of minutes.

Step 2

Apply for a course

Choose a course and tell us a little about yourself and your experience. You can apply for online or face-to-face learning.

Step 3

Upload your documents

Upload your ID copy, qualifications and CV. Your documents are stored privately. Only you and authorised MG staff can open them.

Step 4

MG reviews your application

We check your application and documents, then approve you or ask for anything that's missing. You see the status in your portal the whole way.

Step 5

Pay

Once you're approved, MG confirms the amount. You pay by EFT and upload your proof of payment, and finance checks it before your course opens. Ask us about paying as you progress.

Step 6

Start learning

Your access runs for 6 months from when your enrolment becomes active. Your dashboard shows your next step and how long you have left.

Step 7

Complete your work

Work through your lessons and quizzes, and submit any assignments and final assessments. Assessors mark them and send your feedback online.

Step 8

Get your certificate

When you've met the course requirements, MG checks and releases your course-completion certificate for you to download.

Good to know

Straight answers.

  • Quizzes and results

Multiple-choice quizzes are marked automatically, and you see your score and result straight away. Read each question carefully, because you get one attempt. If you don't pass, contact MG for your next step. Your earlier results stay on your record.

  • A certificate is not a licence

An MG certificate shows that you completed a course with us. It isn't an electrical installation Certificate of Compliance, and completing a course doesn't by itself give you an electrical licence or registration.
